Mummy carried you for 36 weeks and 5 days before mummy's waterbag leak.
You came out a day later after 36 hours.
I carried you for 9 months and it was nothing but an amazing journey for mummy and baba. It was a journey which mummy fattened up, baba fattened up but you didn't.
You came out a tiny 2.5kg but you were perfect.
Mummy was never a fan of children, even while you were in mummy's tummy.
I tried to make a connection with you but it didn't work out as well as I wanted it to.
But the minute you came out from me, Mummy teared. Baba teared too.
We teared in amazement for the gift Allah SWT had given us.
A lot of people were waiting for your arrival.
Your grandparents, aunties and uncles were calling
9 months later, you taught me what life really is.
You taught me how to be thankful with Allah's gifts which we may not see. You were a gift from Him. I would not know how to overcome the loss of your grandfather if I hadn't had you and Baba around.
You have grown up so beautifully.
Your Nani told me that she would rather be sick and not me. Your Yayee mentioned that a mother will even be angry with a mosquito if it bit her child.
Your Yayee also mentioned how I would forget the pain the moment I gave birth to you.
I never believed any bit of it until I had you.
Yes sweetheart, I always rather have myself sick than you because Mummy feels so helpless and I always get mad at the mosquito that bit you despite we switch on the mosquito repellent.
If I had the chance, I'd kill the mosquito with full of fury and satisfaction.
Now I know how it is to be a mom.
And despite you can only babble things I do not understand, you have taught me so much about life.
I love you sweetheart though sometimes I cannot show you that your tantrums are still cute at this point of time.
Though Mummy cannot spend a lot of time with you because I need to work.
Here is to your 9 months.
You are at the age where I enjoy seeing you discover things
Where I see your cute antics which makes Mummy smile from ear to ear
And sometimes you can scare me how much you enjoy food!
I am capturing every moment of you as much as I can because I want to make sure that I am not missing out on anything. It is how I discipline myself to be attentive to you growing up.
And I would love to look back at those days when you were younger.
Again and again.
I love you Rania and I thank Allah for giving me you.
With love,
Mummy
