Like how I know my husband and soon enough we were married and I was pregnant and we had our little girl.
But what was more surreal was that this little girl was growing up right in front of me every single day and yet I still feel that time flies.
She has accomplished many milestones which makes me so proud of her.
Her antics make me speechless most times.
She, to be honest is my experiment baby.
An experiment to make better babies in future, Insya Allah.
To be honest, the experiment works very well for Rania and us.
So here is just one tip to share with ladies who would love to conceive soon or who are already conceiving.
Gynae usually advise eating DHA after the first trimester.
I took DHA when Rania was 7 weeks in my womb. Reason is because all the cell and neurons are forming and this will aid the child in brain development.
Of course fish oil increased my diet. I didn't care. My husband didn't care.
Baby was our priority.
Mothers or grandmothers for the matter, always like to seeing development of other toddlers around their age.
Me too.
The difference is, I do not get worried if that baby turned over her tummy first or had her first tooth first or crawled first.
Some I know had their baby walking before crawling which they are so proud about. But the truth it, their baby's brain may not coordinate well.
So mummies, do not bother if they said so-and-so walked so early. The longer the baby crawls, the better the brain coordination will be.
I let Rania grow up at her own pace.
Whatever she is comfortable with.
At 3 months, I trained her to sit in the Bumbo for 20 mins.
When she was 6 months, she could sit on her own.
The best part was that I just placed toys on the floor and she will play on her own.
That was some time-off for me.
Now, she can crawl pretty quickly from my room to mom's room which is about 4 metres and it scared the shit outta me that I bought gates at Ikea to cover the staircase.
She can pull herself up from the playpen and stand on her own and watch the telly.
Even when it came to foods, I did not rush her to having solid foods.
She started solids after 6 months. Her first tooth at 7 months.
Now at 8 months, I bought Baby Cook from Beaba and have porridge mixed with cherry tomatoes, carrots, vegetables or anchovies.
Like me, she loves apples!
8 months with you have been nothing but wonderful.
How you still make mummy rush home from work to see you. How I enjoy walking around, enjoying fresh air with you in the carrier like my little joey.
This was Rania when her Baba bought for her the Kangaroo from Ikea.
p.s: that giggly voice at the background is my maid -_-"
Happy 8 months sweetheart.
You are mummy's and baba's precious gift.
xoxo
