My recent post about Masjid Kampung Holland managed to attract a lot of Twitter, Facebook and I reckon blog hopping readers and friends to reach out together to help out the mosque.
I am actually very touched with the response.
The husband and I were trying to coordinate and think of ways to get the funds to the mosque.
I thought it was just an easy phonecall to the Committee of the mosque and getting their account number to spread the word.
But the husband, being as cautious as he always is took a step further to seek an official letter from the mosque to ensure that the account number that we are going to bank in is valid.
More importantly, we wanted my readers and network to ensure that none of these funds go through either the husband or myself.
You can bank the funds in to the mosque directly and help them to service their loans with HDB.
Why would I call out for help for Masjid Kampung Holland is because:
1. It is the only mosque in the area. The nearest mosque away from this mosque will be Masjid Al-Falah and the mosque in Clementi.
(I hope I did not get my grids wrong)
2. This was previously a surau which became a mosque
3. The mosque called out for help and was published in Berita Harian on 6th Jan 2011 and the issue is still not resolved.

As I mention, it only takes 220 of us to donate $50 (which is lesser for a meal for 2 at Fish & Co) for the mosque to survive.
