I am the kind of person, when discovers something interesting, I will work in the fast lane to get as much understanding and input as quickly as possible.
It is crazy because I can talk to the husband about an idea and in a couple of days I am able to blabber a lot of things about it.
So my recent craze about lomography did not kill me but it did keep my life pretty exciting!
I read up quite a bit about the brands and models and what it does.
I was about to pounce of the opportunity to purchase the Diana F+ Chrome online but decided to make my way down to a Lomography shop at Sunshine Plaza.
Prices were more expensive than the ones they offer online.
Almost 30%
But may be it is year end season and there are good buys around.
And yes, I am so good at finding good buys that it is hard to resist the purchase.
Not healthy. Not healthy.
I told the husband that I would purchase the full Diana Chrome F+ Kit online but I was just itchy to get my hands on something.
So he allowed me to pick something out.
They come in 6 candy colours and my favourite colour was just THERE!
It is the cheaper version of a Lomo Camera which takes pictures digitally, using your SD card.
Pictures at only 1.3MP, it uses a CMOS sensor which makes pictures turn out better even when you blow it up.
The size?
It is just a little longer than my fat thumb!
I was squealing like a little girl all the way.
*lol*
Seriously, I was probably like a 6-year-old girl who just went out of Toy'R'Us and terus tak selera nak makan cos I was too eager to try out the camera.
Melampau kan!
But anyway, I have yet to understand and perfect this camera.
There are firmwares which you can install into the camera but I have yet to have it tested.
Here are my sample pictures.
They do not turn out very Lomo-ed but you can use a simple Windows Picture Viewer to easily edit contrast and see the lomo effect better.
If it helps, here are my reviews.
Pros:
1. The price which the husband bought for me was only SGD$90
2. 6 colours for you to choose from.
3. If you are into Lomography and still refuse to carry around a Holga or your Diana, this is very convenient. Your pocket may even be too big for it.
Cons:
1. Outdoor shoots will be the best to take shots from Vista Print. Pictures do not turn out very good in low lighting, but hey, it is digital. Don't think. Just Shoot. Delete later.
2. You need to hold the shutter for about 2 to 3 seconds to capture the picture so your hands need to be very stable
3. The lomo effect did not turn out how we would like it to be
4. You still cannot view immediately although it is digital.
But bottom line, if you have the extra cash to throw away and bring your friends out for coffee and dessert, don't.
This may just be a cute, interesting buy for you.
Especially when you are into lomo and not willing to spend the extra cash on a proper camera.
Also, this is a quick and easy way to take a picture and load it up on the blog for you to yakkkk away like me.
*lol*
And oh yes, if you notice my tone in this entry, after 4 hours, i still sound like a girl who came out from Toy'R'Us!
Happy trying!
xoxo
