I still don't look forward to it - at all.
But anyway, here is a last minute beauty tip to make sure you ladies look gorgeous out there for Raya.
And I am not leaving myself out either.
I remember blogging that I have a bacterial infection on my face. What I thought was a pimple on the cheek stayed there for a year and suddenly erupted.
Now the doc said that it would take 6 mths for the scar to disappear.
It looks more like a pigmentation on both my cheeks and have been freaking out since then.
Alhamdullillah my facial regimes (suddenly whatever creams I bought shifted from my shelves to my bedside table) did lighten the scar but it is still pretty obvious.
Well, this is what I am recommending.
Covermark.
The only beauty counter I know in the whole of Singapore and that is at Takashimaya, Level 1.
Retailing at $68 for a super small bottle, if I am not wrong of the price.. I know it in its 60-range.
But defnitely it is worth the cash out of your pocket.
Though more expensive than even the top brands like Christian Dior ($48) and popular brands like MAC ($28), all you need is a dot on the problem area and it covers like magic!!
I am serious!
Best thing is that, it is thick to cover but it doesn't give a thick texture on the face.
So men out there won't tease you.
You need not use 2-way loose powder or even a 2-way cake foundation on top of it.
Spread it lightly with a loose powder and it will look naturally-you.
Available in 6 skin-colour range, I always advise Asian women to go for yellow tones rather than pink tones because it will still remain natural on your face after all the make up oxidises.
Only use pink tones when you already have a natural facial blush which even fair Asian women rarely have.
Yellow tones are good to:
1. Even out skin tones
2. Ease redness on the face
3. Cover dark circles around the eyes (take a yellow tone darker not lighter for you don't want your dark eye rings to look grey even after applying the concealer.
This is how much experiment I have done on my face.
This is how much I read on make-up and skincare.
Thank God I am a woman.
Because bottom-line, in reality, this is how imperfect I am.
And how I have managed to cover my flaws.
Cos I'm a woman, W-O-M-A-N!
