Our last mandarin class came together with a farewell dinner.
And just like the previous 2 classes i had, my classmates had to cater my halal tongue.
I feel so bad.
But isn't it nice to know that your classmates would insist to have you there.
So anyway we had dinner at Clarke Quay.
By the river
at the Indonesian restaurant called Riverside Indonesian Restaurant.
Food was good but probably cos i was so hungry.
We went there in 3 cars.
I got into Roland's(French) car with Jason(Chinese but austalian born), Anna(Spanish).
Funny how i got into Roland's car cos French guys are not my favourite.
Probably cos i have been close with Jason and Anna.
*hoho*
As usual i was eating and eating and eating.
I just took my share.
Only after people finished their main course and waiting for their desserts, i starting cleaning up the plates.
I could do a better cleaning up but the guys stopped eating and i'm like, 'ok girl... red light now'
We all had desserts. They ordered for me mine probably cos i was busy eating and didnt hear what they said.
*lol*
We were supposed to practise our Mandarin in the restaurant.
Some of us did very well.
And my teacher was surprised when i said," yi bei ping shui"
She literally squealed and said,"Hen hao le mima"
I felt like a baby who just learnt how to talk.
Just cos I got my 'penjodoh bilangan' in mandarin right.
Dinner ended after 11pm.
It was a great dinner.
The best I had for the past 3 dinners.
It was so good that the class is making a breakfast outing
Eat prata at Tiong Bahru.
Sometimes, it is not the food but the company we look forward to.
I went back with Roland(the french guy).
Anna went back with Kenneth.
Lao shi, Jason and Moon went back with another Chinese lady
So this Roland is a French guy.
And i thought there was something familiar in the way he speaks
That night i listened carefully.
"Hey Roland! You sound like Steve Martin in Pink Panther"
And he really did.
Oh my god.. so pekat ok the accent
And the thing is his voice is almost the same as Steve Martin.
As usual, me being the teaser, "Roland, say cheeseburger for me?"
*giggles*
