For many years.
Make that 5 years and 3 Blackberry phones.
I was on the go with my emails and Her Closet orders.
Then over time when social media became a hype, I was just up to date and it just keeps going!
I am very hooked to social media that I can sit at a coffee place for hours and just play with my phone.
I get updated with how people capitalise their outreach and I learnt a lot about technology.
Though I graduated school with IT knowledge, I was never a techie person. Not the one who sits behind the desk and do codes.
I am always excited from a consumer perspective i.e how this works and that works.
I have proven so much interest in this, that my Director felt I would do good in the marketing industry.
Hahaha!
With the flexibility, how can I not love my job!
So when I came back from maternity, I had my role switched.
Ok so back when I was using a Blackberry, I was on the ball with emails.
Till today, it has the best and most stable email platforms for mobile phones.
But in terms of their apps, there was a lot more that Blackberry just had to catch up.
When the iPhone emerged and Instagram came about, I was pulling my hair that Blackberry had no similar apps to that!
I was going crazy.
Still, Mac was not my cup of tea. I cannot understand the works of Apple till today.
The husband made rude joke of me
"You work for Microsoft, carry an iPad and use a Blackberry."
While Microsoft have to admit that they cannot keep up with consumers' excitement (customers' excitement comes first, their technology comes later), you have to admit you like that Windows platform and grew up with Microsoft Office.
And I will be among the first few to have an installed Windows 8 on my laptop.
See? That is how crazy I am with technology.
Ok it started when the husband's phone started to go crazy and we always have this pact that we have to change phones together.
The husband(and silently me) was toying with the idea of the iPhone 4S but it was pointless because iPhone 5 was speculated to hit stores in October.
I wanted to get mom a Galaxy Note for her birthday when a guy in M1 approached me and introduced me to the HTC One X.
Dad was a HTC fan. His phones have been HTC for the longest time though I insisted that it was crap!
*lol*
So to cut the story short, at the M1 counter, the husband was still unable to make up his mind and ask me to make a selection first.
Haiz!
It was easy.
I will share with you why I love this phone!
First it has a quad-core processor.
It means that web browsing will be in speed of light and application executions are fast.
Never miss a shot!
The camera starts up pretty quickly and you can take up to 99 multishots very quickly.
And I really mean very quickly.
Taking pictures of Rania now is awesome especially when she cannot keep still!
And at 8 megapixel, phone images are now awesome.
Need to capture a picture in the midst of a video.
Be my guest!
The best thing is that even when light conditions are terrible, images are still great!
I have zero knowledge about beats audio.
An amazing innovation by Dr Dre and imagine that on your phone. The sound is euqally good when you plug in your earphones into the phone!
Of course there are things which I do not fancy.
For example, I cannot show you the pictures on my HTC One X because my phone is dead!
The phone tends to overheat if you have so many applications running.
(Happens once to me!)
So I literally have to walk around with a phone charger to plug in my phone when battery is running low.
Bummer! The thing is I know when I purchase this.
God knows how many reviews I will read before buying a gadget.
Just like how a year ago, the husband went to sleep telling me to pick up a compact camera for my birthday and the next morning I told him I wanted a Powershot S95.
That choice, till today, I have no regrets!
In this case, I was kinda prepared.
During the purchase, there was only one white HTC One X left.
Their whites are really limited.
Of course the husband HAD TO give in to me. Just like when we purchased our iPads, there was also only one white left.
Hahahaha!
So are you still waiting for that iPhone 5?
Or you rather make THE switch?
xoxo
