KL 3-in-1

Thursday, October 20, 2011

This trip was a budgeted trip.
Ok, I am not shy to say that because the husband and I have spent a bomb on furnishing my house (maybe just my bed) and they are not many things actually. Plus, the baby is coming and a lot of finances need to be kept in check.
Not forgetting my own medical fees which have amounted to $2k.

Truth is, I went cold turkey buying myself another Prada or Fendi for the past 2 years though my mom got an LV clutch for her birthday.
Husband calls it financial discipline.

*roll eyes*

Anyway, I had a good deal on Groupon. At $147 per pax, me and the husband could head down to Kuala Lumpur.
Coach and 4-star hotel included.

And we made this a 3-in-1 celebration.
Firstly is for us to have private moments together celebrating his birthday. We always enjoy time with each other.
It is just so serene and not hectic and truly he is the best fit puzzle in my life.
There is no compromisation with him. We are just alike that even when we travel, there are no two opinions to anything.
Amazing!!

Secondly, it is a babymoon for us.
Again, to spend some time together before my little girl takes up a lot of her parents time. Part of me is afraid that the husband will forget his wife existed.
He loves kids more than I do. Period. Truth is, I fear that a lot of my relaxed and free time is taken up by the little girl.
Another part of me am afraid if I am unable to cope.
I am unlike my mom or most moms - I think.

So when my mom and sis are so excited about taking care of the little girl, you can imagine the glee on my face!

Hmmm....
Not a good sign isn't it?

But anyway (brushing all thoughts aside), the final reason was that I needed to comfort myself and gorge all the food I can before I head into confinement and having the need to loose weight.. blah blah blah.. you know those sorts of thing.

So here we were waiting for our rooms upon arrival.

Furama Hotel is newly opened and it is really clean.
They have awesome breakfast and I am so sorry I did not take the pictures of the food. I was too intimidated by the food and on the second day, we overslept!
*lol*

The husband had a good nap in the hotel before we head off for linner (lunch + dinner)
Apparently he could not sleep well in a coach. As for me, i sleep anywhere!
One of the perks I still enjoy being pregnant. Sleep has yet to be a problem.

Maybe I take good pictures of food that I have you salivating all the time. But really, I will say it is a perfect compact I have.
My Canon Powershot S95.

We had a list of places which we wanted to go and eat.
First stop.
Pepper Lunch.

Still, the husband felt that he needed to get some Bread Talk as appetizers prior to his upsize meal!

Beef Pepper Lunch for him

And Chicken Pepper Lunch for me.
I am not a fan of beef.

Really the sauces are magical!!!!

We had a lot of other junkies.
The Loaf and Bread Talk (again) and headed to the supermarket to buy our fuel supplies in the room.
And I bought for my Lil' Sis worms.. *lol* my favourite but I did not touch any food with colouring because I am so afraid that it will trigger my asthma.

I try not to fall sick in KL.
The last time I did, I went to Intan Gleneagles A&E and guess what happened?
The traffic was bad and i was like a fish gasping for air.
Secondly the nurses in A&E can giggle and gossip and tell me to wait for 20 mins when there were no patients.
I was so mad, despite no voice and breath and told them,"I cannot breathe and I need a doctor now. I cannot wait."
Still it took them another 10 mins.

*grrrrr*

As much as I heart Malaysia, it is horrid in terms of security and maybe becoming like Joburg where you cannot see much humanity and consciousness in the community.

Ok let's move on.
Apparently the pregancy hormones always get the better of me.

Day 2 lunch or should I say Linner again we digged into Tony Romas

I love the fact that they serve us Garlic Baguette when we arrived there.

The husband having a tough time deciding what to eat.

So I decided to decide for him.

Appetizer which was a half loaf onion bread

And of course the ribs. That is a no brainer!!!

Happy faces!

Photobucket

Shamelessly, I am telling you that the moment I came out of Tony Romas, i looked for this

Photobucket

It is so sedap ok!

That night was a game of Liverpool vs Manchester Uniter and the husband would not want to miss it for a thing.
He is always afraid that he will bore me in times like this but the truth is, I am always finding him darn cute which his own football commenting and his antics. How he jumps up when the goal is scored.

So we booked a place at TGIF and got a seat nicely facing the telly.
Since we have Linner 2 hours ago, we settled for hot tea and some appetisers.

See how tensed the husband's face is!

The next morning, we overslept and missed breakfast.
So sad!!!

So I rushed him to get up and planned out the remaining iternary for him.
We had to be at the lobby by 2pm. In the meantime, we managed to squeeze in some time to look for one way ticket flights back.
We just felt we did not have enough.
The cheapest we got quoted was RM$485 for 2 pax.

Forget it.

So we rushed back to Pavillion.
Subway!!!

Me and the husband ordered ourself a foot long each
:D

Then we had our must have porridge and tau-weh with you tiao.

I think the waiter gave me a bit more tau-weh seeing I was pregnant
*gleams*

We rushed back, prayed and washed up and we were in our coach in time to head back to Singapore.
The moment we sat down...

We pulled out our Subway!!

*lol*

Anyway, I think my family was envious of our makan trip that they are now planning a trip to go as a family.
Round 2?

I am always up for it!
Are you salivating already?

*chuckles*
