"I think I want to start blogging"
My jaw-dropped.
I was actually trying to get him to blog since I knew him but he did not see my point.
He had this mentality that only girls read blogs and many other things which I think may not be appropriate to share right now.
*bites nails*
He does not even understand why his wife bears to see him sleep at night while she types away on the laptop.
He does not understand why I would give up sleep for a blog entry, even after late night packing away the orders.
He cannot fathom how I can just do a blog entry from my phone, typing the whole chunk in my head in less than 10 minutes.
How I can edit pictures just for readers to spend seconds looking at it and then maybe never looked at it again.
Truth is, I am never able to understand the science too.
But I told him it is all about time management.
A quick excuse or maybe a gender ego thing that I am better off in multi-tasking.
Then I stumbled upon a quote from my all-time favourite author.
Paulo Coelho.
He said writing is like sex.
"When you are making love, you're not there in the beginning, you are a bit shy. And then you'll say, how am I going to perform? An then all of a sudden you are totally there. Your body and your soul. So, if it is only your body, it's half of the pleasure, or less than that. So you're like totally there. Writing is like making love to computer"
No wonder I got addicted.
*lol*
But the thing is I do wonder from time to time if I will stop blogging someday.
Maybe I will because my hands will be tied.
Maybe I will not because I just love yapping away and having my lil' girl will just add in more things to talk about.
Then I thought about how and why I began blogging.
It was initially an avenue for me to write my frustrations. I used to keep written diaries anyway.
But today, it is about reaching out. Reaching out to everyone with my ideals and ideas, my perspectives, my critics.
This blog is my showcase.
A showcase of me.
I hope the husband follows suit eventually. He knows I always will give him time to ponder on an idea. Dwell on it even.
When he is ready, that is when I will give my full energy.
That's us.
Well, they say, husband and wife usually are of the same character.
It is only true.
Birds of the same feather, surely flock together.
Anyway, happy birthday sweetheart. You are down with stomach flu and me down with flu but I promise we will make the best of today okies.
And insya allah, we will be scooting off this weekend.
Finally somewhere even though I can't go far. It is still better than nothing.
It will be a good break for us. A good break for us to have some cute-sy time together before our little girl comes out.
You are my light, my life.
I love you, with all my heart & soul.
xoxo,
