Chicken Rice Story

Monday, September 12, 2011

I have a Chicken Rice story to tell.
I was wondering how stalls selling Chicken Rice are most likely to make money in any banquet area.
There are no or minimum marketing required for these stalls and really if the stall has a good chicken rice sambal, the queue will be super long.

This was what I had earlier for lunch today.

Chicken Rice.

I will tell you my reasons why I had that.
1. I was already super hungry by the time I headed out of the office at 2pm.
2. I refuse to think of anything else except food.
3. I refuse to wait for any soup meal to cool down (I scald my tongue easily)
4. I just wanted rice.
5. I have a good balance of proteins, fibre and iron (if I minus off the chicken skin)
6. Alternative to fast food. Long queue, short wait.

Realise that whenever your colleague or yourself need to tapao some food, they will just utter "chicken rice" if you are standing there for more than 10 seconds.

My first attempt wearing a lens diameter of 15mm. These lenses are hard to come by. Usually I get the ones which are 14mm. Either size, they make my eye more cheerful and lively.
Truth is, my pupils are really small.

The husband teased me that he felt cheated thinking he married a Bambi-eyed girl because after the marriage, he realised I was merely a Tweety Bird. Small eyes and pouty lips.
*lol*

p.s: we took a peek of our decent house yesterday.

To my disbelief, I see cars already parked at the multi-storey carpark and families carrying things to eagerly move in. Tears streamed down my cheeks. It is really another huge milestone for us. From the wedding to the house and in time, the baby.

Before we embarked into marriage, we both we very concerned about our upcoming expenditures and finances but were advised not to worry.
For the sunnah that we are doing, the rezeki will just be there for us.
To be honest, initally I doubted and did not even expect Lil' Missy to be coming by so soon.
But now I see it all with my own eyes. I really do not know how we made it here and how it falls into place nicely perfectly.

I feel very blessed. I woke up this morning and the first thing I told the husband was,
"I am still excited about our house after yesterday's episode."

Syukur Alhamdulillah.

So as the residents of the last block, we will be getting our keys this weekend.
I am uber excited!

xoxo
