It was only last Friday that the husband and I decided to have a nice iftar together.
We attempted once previously to Swensens but the queue was super long.
Malays and non-Malays were queuing up hoping to get a seat. Surprisingly, at 7.45pm the crowd will die down. It will really be nice if the Singapore Government create awareness of the fasting month and join collaboration with the courtesy month. Singaporeans are easily educated and i'm sure they will understand if they need to make way for their Muslim friends to break their fast.
Muslims fast from dusk to dawn and in Singapore's context will be about 14 hours. Have a heart.
So anyway, I looked out for a place which I was able to reserve a table for 2 and reasonably priced. Since I already had Fish & Co and Swensens, it was the first time that me and the husband dined at Tambuah Mas in Paragon.
The food was pretty alright but after that we found out that the cook at Tanglin branch was better.
We picked out Paragon since it was easy for us to do our prayers after that.
I am so sorry to be blogging about food during the fasting month!
I was trying to control myself for the past 16 days!! But just in case you would like to dine there, so pardon me ok :)
I made the husband eat petai for the first time. I persuaded him to try just half a petai telling him it was crunchy and not bitter like what all mothers say. I am glad he really enjoyed it and felt it helped him detoxify himself that night and the day after! *lol*
All pictures were taken with my lovely Powershot S95. If anyone would like to buy a digital camera, this is the one I will highly recommend.
This was a candid picture of bibik when Swensens surprised her with a birthday ice cream :)
Hari Raya is in 2 weeks. Time flies.
I will be seeing Junior the day before Raya. Full scan and check. I am not sure whatis that but surely mummy is hoping that you show for sure if you are our prince or princess.
xoxo
