The whole family checked-in to Raffles Town Club for a 3 days 2 nights stay.
I got for everyone a normal room, except for myself i.e. a junior suite to put in a lot of things and make space for a lot of people.
The bridesmaids came full strength that night for the final practice of their dance.
I had a good time laughing and of course did not sit still to dry the henna.
p/s: My sister calls me a bride who cannot behave.
Then at night, it was just me and Lil' Sis spending our time together at night over Green Tea and Coffee.

The first night was a horrid time for us.
The smell of the henna was too strong (it lasted even after 4 days) and was making me and my sister asthmatic.
We took care of each other at night.
Worse I had my henna slapped on my fingernails and toenails throughout the night so the smell of henna lingered in the room.
But nonetheless, thank you to the baby sister who sent me for manicure and pedicure spa.
My nails are sooooo clean!!!

That night.....
I could not sleep.
Not only because of the asthma, but also because I was afraid I will be late for my wedding.
I remember when I was in University, I was always late when meeting my girlfriends so they said,"Mima, you will surely be late on your wedding day and padan muka kau nanti your groom lari!"
At that time, I just said,"Lari ah.. just shows how much he loves me when he could not wait."
The night before my solemnisation, God knows how much I was freaking out - though my solemnisation was at 3pm!
Then I found out it was not just me who could not sleep.
My parents could not sleep
My baby sister could not sleep
My adopted parents-in-law could not sleep
My adopted aunty-in-law could not sleep
Finally, my groom too could not sleep
But all went as planned, Alhamdulillah.
The mosque held for us a quick maulud at 2.15pm on 6th November 2010 before the akad nikah at 3pm.
I am very honoured that our Kadi was at the maulud, despite knowing his very tight hourly schedule.
Here was I ready to head to the mosque from the hotel room.
So again, Alhamdulillah, Alfi and myself had a smooth event and became husband and wife on 6th November 2010 at 3.06pm
To her:
However, our solemnisation was very humble and quiet - just like how my husband would like it to be.
The briefing before they got started:
After I agreed,
they went on with the akad nikah
There were delighted voices, smiles and tears when Alfi declared his akad nikah on the first trial, both witnesses (my brother and his father) looked at each other, nodded and said,"Sah"
Apparently, this husband of mine has been practising with his foster father-in-law the night before.
:)
I shifted back to the dias waiting for my husband to come.
His first word to me is,"Assalamualaikum," then he bent down and said,"You look beautiful."
I smiled.
The exchange of ring ceremony.
"Selawat as we put the ring on each other."
Here was the first time I kissed Alfi's hand.
and then you can kiss the bride
:)
Dah Halal!
