I ended 2009 in Kuala Lumpur.
No more KL being such a fun place to go because it is really the same thing all over again.
So over the years, I got a bit jelak oredi.

The only thing that was better is that mom lets us sleep in a lot more.
We were only out after our Asar prayers.
So, in a way, it is very relaxed. No kelam kabut nak shopping.
Or nak cari makan.
We spent a lot of time in KL drinking coffee.. and it is only Starbucks coffee... macam kat Singapore tak cukup outlet.

In fact, there weren't much shopping done until the few hours that we departed.
I think it is more like kiter kes kancheong takder barang shopping.

People may think it is sad but my life just revolves around dining, travelling, shopping and being vain!
Yeah, I admit that that IS the bulk of it lah
Period.

Talking about vain, when I scrolled through my earlier 2009 pictures, I cant believe that my face is so blengeng!
Did not even bother with eyeliners bla bla bla...

Now, I cant leave home without an eyeliner.
In fact, I randomly change my contact lens colour.

Brown season, which was most of the time.
Still, I cant believe how plained-face I am here.. Urgh!
I somehow missed this look.

Black season which I have just recently started again this week after so long.

Blue season which has been my favourite over the past couple of months

Green season which is really seasonal.

Been a long time since I wore grey too.

*sigh*

But I am already a woman.

Back (on) track.. I went to KL early that Thursday morning while the sister still had to work.
So it was a road trip with me all alone with my book and magazine.

I was not able to catch the movie of Time Traveller's Wife but I could not stop flipping the pages of this book.

We saw the fireworks in KL while waiting my Lil' One to arrive.
It was not as fantastic as the years that I have seen before but I managed through it.

Older Groupy will relek at Starbucks and people-watch.
Just like me.

(not quite a kiss cos mommy was more interested in posing. *lol*)

Have you ever seen a Mat Ronald Mac' Donalds?

*lol*

So here is what I found out this KL trip.
There is a place called Mont Kiara.
I wish Singapore has a place that serene and posh looking. Singapore is too much clutter. Just like KL itself.
At night, it is about 20 mins drive from KL since traffic is pretty smooth.
The reason why we went there was because we were recommended to dine at Meatworks.

My verdict?
1 out of 10 stars.

Please don't waste your time.

The food was served almost 2 hours later and this is definitely not a serving well done.
I cannot imagine Lil' Sis slurping up those blood.

Actually she had to use 2 whole napkins to absorb in all the juice.
Guess what is mom's hands doing behind me?

I was already taken a huge bite of my burger and was trying to hard to quickly take in all the vegetables.
Mom was laughing so hard that she held the back of my neck.

No.
It wasn't a case of tercekik.

After the horrid dinner, we headed to Coffee Bean at Mont Kiara.
Very serene.
You can't even find something close to this in Singapore.
Even Holland Village is beginning to clutter.

We didn't get enough of Mont Kiara.
We came back here the next night.

Feeling very uncontented with Meatworks, we headed to Tony Romas the next time.
And paid lesser for better ribs.

With the kind of pampered lifestyle and diet I am in, I am glad I only turn out a little meaty.
Not obese.

That is good enough isn't it..
Well, life's like that.
You win some, you lose some, as long as at the end of the day I win.
*smiles*

Here's to life!

xoxo
