The Shopping Phrase

Sunday, January 31, 2010

Being unemployed is really bad.
You get bored and you will do the 2 most unhealthy and sinful things.
Shop and Eat.

I have been having tiny shopping sprees which can be quite scary but it is really hard to resist good buys.
Last night, Orchard road was sucky because it is such a clutter!!

Thank you to @sheikaz, @pseudochic, @hadirosman, @nurulj, @misstictactoe, @tipsyxstranger for the tiny comments on Twitter.
You made me laugh by the roadside.
*lol*

Firstly, Marks & Spencer are having good buys!
I bought a top and 4 pants for under $150.
I bought cudroy and cargo pants which is so hard to find nowadays!!

Never enter Daiso.
You will end up buying all sorts of nonsensical things which you will still squeal and go "Oh this is so cute!" but that is exactly how Daiso is making money.
I walked out with 10 items.

I bought the 4 packs of charcoal actually.
2 small charcoal bags in a pack for $2 is cheappppp!!!
I put them in my wardrobes and trust me, it is a good humidifier.
Too many clothes, too little time to use them all and Big Hippo is expensive.

I love incense!
Anything that will make my room smell nice.
The ones at Daiso doesn't burn very long but it is ok cos it only means that you can change the smell of your room every week or fortnight.
*giggles*

I am a sucker for manicures & pedicures.
I am a sucker for having pretty nails though most times I do not get to enjoy it.

Get these at The Face Shop for just $2.90.
They are on sale and colour spreads nicely on nails so it is really a good buy!

I was at Arab Street and really for these shawls under $5!!
Grabbed 9 for myself!
I am crazy!!!

*lol*

I know!

I have stopped shopping at Forever 21 like ages ago though I know that girls my age today still visit there.
Recently, I tried to move from the corporate look and try to look more casual.
It is really comfortable!

Plus, I last shopped for Forever 21 like 4 years ago or more and I stopped because the price was so ridiculous.
Already catered for the petite sizes which is not me, the price of a simple top was $55.
Last night, I visitied the outlet at 313.
It was 4 storeys high.
We kept going up and my mom asked,"Wah.. tinggi nyer. Braper tingkat nie?"

"4 tingkat," my Lil' Sis replied. "I have never been here but I heard a girl talking to her boyfriend on the phone,'Forever 21 kat sini empat tingkat!!'"

Oh my!!

Prices are really cheap.
Cotton maxi dresses are at $35. No longer $79 or $89.

In fact, I bought these singlets for $7 each!!
It is only because I found these long cardigans from Cotton On and digging into this look now.

Cotton On is also having sale at Orchard MRT so got the cardigans are available at $25 each.
Lucky I contemplated buying from Victoria Secrets because I don't want to melechet under the material in the hot sun.

I cannot resist going into Etude.
They are always giving out free gifts, of which this time I got girlish pens and tengah being childish now, I was so excited.

Anyway, I love their Moistfull range.
It really hydrates the skin and I love the hydrated look on the face.
I use their face spray and now I am trying out their mask.

Being under make up most times clogs up pores, toning will dry up the skin and the nights are supposed to be filled anti-aging regimes.
So it is really great when you use this mask while you do your business in the toilet.
Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes and wash off.

Yours for just $18.90

I have tried the ones from Body Shop in an aqua blue tub.
That was fantastic!!
And it was not too expensive as well at $25.90, excluding member's discount, if I am not wrong.

See there is a Charcoal patch?
I tried it out for 90 cents per piece. Suppose to dry up the chin.
While it really dries up, the adhesive suck big time so you can't really cover the whole chin.
For 90cents, it is not worth it.

Let's wait for some better beauty brands to come up with a T-zone patch.

So that is the little shopping that I have been doing.
The reason why they are little is because these are either good buys or good experiments.
