What recession?
I am really not seeing it happening anywhere - at all.

Truthfully, the economic recession should have hit us shortly after the rise of the oil prices in 2008. But it was made hush-hush until the financial sectors could not avoid hiding it any longer.

In any case, all of us, including me got panicked-stricken - for a while at least.
Being in the workforce, anything can happen.
Though I am not married and yet to have kids, I still have a hefty monthly fixed payoff, which makes me sound married.

Bottom line, no matter how much or how little money, nothing is ever enough.
Or at least we can do more.

I just came back from KL this morning at 3am.
Unlike in Singapore, I saw the impact in KL. Shopping centres were quite empty. So are the food courts and what more fine dining.
In times like these, service are always better to keep attracting or retaining customers.

But like in Singapore, KL was having loads of sale also.
I had my fun.

Over the past month that I have been going out, I notice that Singaporeans are not spending any lesser.
Bravo Singaporeans.
Not only in times like these we are encouraged to spend, but it shows how financially stable we are.

Alhamdulillah, I have not been affected in any way.
I can only thank Allah the Al-Mighty for His kindness.
Still, I watch on my spending only because it is wise.

Me and Perfect Stranger went to the IT show last month and we saw showcases 3/4 empty! I was like,"What recession?!?!?"
The halls were packed and we literally needed to push our way through the crowds.

People brought trolleys filled with hardwares and I was like,"Seriously?!?!"

Example was the Nikon D40 was selling at SGD$688 and were snapped up on the 2nd day of the IT show itself.
Goodness people!!

I thought Her Closet herself would be affected when we ran Expo from 19th to 22nd March.
Not only we managed to cover costs, we took home quite a bit despite our little attention and appearance at this showcase due to the departures of our grandmothers within days apart.

My point is, people are really spending.

Her Closet is yet going through another bit of makeover.
Little by little with new fashion, new trends, new muslimah looks.
Of course I am planning to look into something further than that. But I need to plan it out correctly.
Time is a challenge.
People told me that I don't seem to stop running around.
The brain keeps spinning ideas.
It exhausts me - physically & mentally.

Too many things. Too little time.
Is the world really coming to an end?
