The perfect woman
Nasrudin was talking to a friend, who asked him:
"Have you never considered getting married, Mullah?"
"I have," replied Nasrudin. "In my youth, I resolved to find the perfect woman. I crossed the desert and reached Damascus, and I met a lovely, very spiritual woman, but she knew nothing of the world. I continued my journey and went to Isfahan; there I met a woman who knew both the spiritual and the material world, but she was not pretty. Then I decided to go to Cairo, where I dined in the house of a beautiful woman, who was both religious and a connoisseur of material reality."
"Why didn't you marry her, then?"
"Alas, my friend, she was looking for the perfect man."
-Paulo Coelho
A lovely story I must say.
Something that probably hits us in the face or in the head.
But truth is, who among us are constantly looking for the perfect man or woman for ourselves?
Perfect is subjective.
Really it is. If there was ever a perfect man or woman, everyone else who doesn't get to marry him/her is considered to be unlucky.
It's all about being balanced.
Perfecting the situation to the best way possible should be a more rational way to be looking at it.
Where the existence of Mr Right is also overrated, I gave up looking for him long time ago.
I even gave up fighting what I felt was right when the exhaustion ate me up good.
Today, I follow the flow of Life.
I entrust Him leading me every best way possible.
Someone right and perfect in my life.
Insya Allah.
