The 5 Cs.
Cash, Credit cards, Car, Condo & Country Clubs.
A term used to relate materialism in the Singapore Singlish lexicon.

Do I have a car?

No.

Obtaining a driving license is like a rat race in my family.
They question you if you could drive.
For many years, my answer is a flat no.

What's the point?

I do not own a car.
(They will tell you to just take the license and drive my dad's car)
But I am not keen in driving my dad's car cos it is not mine.
So there is nothing for me to be proud of.

Do I feel challenged?

No.

I commute work to home of which transport is already so convenient.
Instead of incurring larger expenses on myself, I would rather save that amount of cash.
No parking fines.
No monthly instalments.
No parking fees at work, home and client's site(which is in Shenton and we all know that 4 hours could easily cost over $20)
No road tax
No petrol to be paid.

But does that mean that I am less better off?

No.

But this is life.

I have always come to be in situations where they feel that they need to compete.
I do not compete against anyone.
I have my set milestones that I would like to see in life.
Seeing through my achievements at the end of each milestone spells out success for me.

But bottom line, that is the problem with human.
They are just to quick to judge things that they see.
Face-value.

People have created mindsets in their heads which would be hard to change.
For example, a mother who abuses the child is easily believed by the society.
The society would come together and submit their views in newspaper, baselining it with the current legal laws.

BUT

What about a child who abuses the well-being of their parent?
Now that would be hard to swallow, moreover to believe.
Especially when the parent is so helpless and the sight shows no signs of abuse.
Who else would stand up for him/her?

You judge.
