Another weekend has passed.
Another tiring weekend.
Saturday...
I skipped my GMAT class. Considering i am throwing away $170 for every class i didnt attend, i always feel guilty.
But it was somehow mixed feelings cos i get to snore more.
*smiles*
AMP had a YEP iftar.
Pot luck iftar as what they put it.
Loads of food untouched and lots of money spent.
Wasteful event.
It was the first time people saw me and Efni 'working' round the clock.
From 6.30pm to 9pm.
From arranging the food to clearing and packing them.
'Orang dapur' katakan
Many were surprised that me and Efni actually did work.
More then the rest.
I wonder why they are so surprised.
Like "Hello!" we do household chores ok.
Its just that with jalan-jalan clothes, we are not bothered with it.
Too glam to get dirty right Ef?
*chuckles*
Then i got home so exhausted.
Took a cab back home. I am trying not to cab too much cos i need to save as much as i can. But this time i couldnt help it.
Can you imagine sometimes i cab to work only cos i dont want to sweat
*giggles*
Lucky work is close to home. But even so, during the peak hours, it can still be $10
So when i am too lazy to wait for the expo train and take the 20-cent bus to the office, i take a cab from Tanah Merah. And still that would cost me $6.
Ok so i got back home, slumped myself on the sofa and then a few mins later, mom called me from upstairs,"Intan, meh ikut mak gi Geylang"
"Huh? Geylang? Asal mak nak gi Geylang"
Ok i am not and never a fan of Geylang ok.
And before my mother merajuk, i dragged my sister and my dad to come along.
Family outing ler..
*lol*
Then we had drinks at Kallang Mac'D till past 2am.
Got back home, showered and get ready my clothes for Sunday and headed to bed.
It was within seconds that i slept.
I almost missed my GMAT class again on Sunday.
Lucky mom woke me up. I cant skip Sunday's GMAT cos we do English syllabuses and i have always been worse at it compared to Maths.
But i am so proud of myself today.
From always getting one correct answer BY CHANCE, i scored like a 60 to 75 percentile. I think that is a great achievement for me.
Got home, told my dad. He said good job. Try to do better.
Told mom, and she said,"How come not full marks?"
What's new....
I am beginning to understand the concept now.
But my question is why an American english aptitude test for a local British education
*shake head*
Makes no sense to me.
Can you imagine, i have to swallow the fact that a group of Americans is denoted as American.
We are Singaporeans made up of Malays and Indians and Chinese
But they are American.
Ok so where's the logic.
Came back home and snored for another 2 hrs before i got up to get ready to visit granny and buka at Simei and then find bubble tea in town and then head to Borders where i found a new book by Mitch Albom.
Writer for Tuesdays with Morrie and 5 people you meet in heaven
I have read both books and i was afraid he wasnt going to write anymore.
He did!
And the new publishing coincide with another of my favourite author Paulo Coelho.
But i'd go for this
So move aside Paulo of James Patterson for the matter(he has so many new books all the time that i cant keep up with the pace)
Mitch Albom
For one more day
Synopsis: If you had the chance, just one chance, to go back and fix what you did wrong in life, would you take it? If you did, would you be big enough to stand it?
GOODNESS!!! HOW NOT TO BUY THE BOOK??!?!
I was about to buy it at Popular. Only hard covers are out.
It was going for $32.50
Then something told me not to buy first
At Borders, the hard cover was going for $25.95.
SALE!!!!
I asked for a paperback cos it was cheaper. But they said that the paperback is not coming out until 4 weeks later.
I cant wait THAT long and i wont be in Singapore when it is out.
I cant wait to start reading the book now that i have it in my hands.
Mom bought a tiny SODUKU book. For her to kill time in trains and aeroplanes during our trip.
She is much MUCH better than me
Cos i only started learning it today.
I dont know about abang but i am the only one who doesnt know how to play
And when i wanted to buy a copy of that tiny book,
Mom said,"Go and finish all your GMAT questions first!"
*pouts*
