My horoscope for today:
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, true -- but has this person been absent so long that you've forgotten why they were in your life in the first place?
If the answer is yes, then it's time to move on

I had not met Fzam for 8 days.
Record.
And we purposely didnt want to meet.
I think I am much nicer to him when i don't see him often.
haha
And it is a good thing i guess.. So i am going to stick to this cycle.
*grin*

Today, or technically yesterday, I was late to work for the first time.
I think i have been exhausted for the past couple of days.

Work is busy.
I mean it has always been.
And I am starting to stay longer in the office.
I guess my honeymoon period in the office is TOTALLY over.

After work, rushed down to Masjid Al-Falah to join mom in the 'Sunnah and Hadith' class.
He is the same ustaz that taught me on every Fridays.
Mentioning about Fridays,
he is carrying out a lecture on 'Love and Sacrifice' at Darul Arqam this coming Friday.
His students as well as others out there are welcomed.
Starts at 7.30pm
I am looking forward to that.

Anyway from today's class, i learnt 3 very meaningful things.
Pls don't think i am preaching.
I am just sharing.
Sharing what i feel benefits.

FOOD FOR THOUGHTS:

1) PEOPLE ALWAYS SCRUTINISES AND CRITISIZES THINGS THAT DOESN'T QUESTION FAITH-RELATED-MATTERS

There are many of such people out there.
But every human is judgemental.
That's why people say first impression counts.
And it is human to scrutinise everything about someone, especially those that we do not know.

Men and women judge people differently.
Islamic men and women judge people of their own religion even more critically.

When it is a sunnah to keep a beard, people mistook it as someone being pious.
Men come to the mosques with clean white jubah and sarban is seen to be more religious.

Same thing for women.
Those who are seen to be wearing tudung are thought to be pious by the first impression.

But nothing of the above questions faith.
Though tudung is a must for women, jeans aren't

Physical aspects as such does not clarify or justify the kind of person he/she is.
Physical dressing to look pure doesnt show his/her faith.
There are so many women out there who wears the tudung.
Wah!
Cover head
Cover wrists
Cover feet
But sadly never cover mouth.
They expect people to be sensitive to them but they never were to others.
They are much better in correcting others than themselves.
As mentioned, women goes to hell fire because of their mouth.
Muslims will understand why.

Yes I do retaliate.
And when i retaliate, i get nasty.
I dont provoke people.
But when i am provoked to the limits, I dont get back.
I get even.

which brings me to this...

2) Whatever that is going to be done, one has to consider time, place and circumstances.

I am a good example for many to see

I am a tudung-bearer.
But I dont wear the tudung to work
I don it after work

Many spoke behind my back.
Suddenly it seem that my faith towards God has changed.
My iman faltered.

But they have to consider the time, place and circumstances.
I was jobless for 3 and half months.
I tirelessly looked for a job.
Within that period, I send out close to 150 resumes
I changed my resume 3 times.
Yet no reply

Then I seek God for help.
I brought it up to discuss with my parents.
I seek permission to send out my resumes without the tudung to see if there were any luck in getting a job.
Alhamdulillah it did.

It showed that it is not my qualification that made me unemployed
Neither my race
Nor my age
It was my religion.

But this is the society today
How do i fight that?
Some say, it tests your faith.
Probably I failed God's test.
Probably I did what God didnt consent.

But in this time and place and circumstances, if i am going to continue to find a job with a head dress, then who's going to give me money? who is going to support me?
At the age of 24, you cant expect from your parents any longer.

Question why my muslim dress code is not proper.
Cos i challenge whoever questions me to do the same as me.
Try look for a job.

3) Be more Islamic

Being more Islamic doesnt necessarily mean to be more pious.
Islam teaches us to perfect thing.
To perfect prayers
To perfect fasting
To perfect the heart

Some people do things which are wrong and they said,"if your niat is ok then God will excuse it."
Right?
Ustaz said wrong.
Intentions has to be supported by actions.

For example who said it was wrong attending to a christmas party?
It is not wrong.
We can take it as a celebration with no occasion.
Attend the party only cos you are invited.

There are so many of us here who celebrate birthdays and new year in a non-islamic way.

While there are many who said attending a christmas party is wrong,
There are also many who drink, whether or not there is an occasion.

Never try to correct others when you can't correct yourselves
Correct yourself
Then the family
Then the society.
Many of us jump to the top of the hierachy without even looking at the bottom two.

I rest my case.
