It is a good avenue for mummies to take some time out and also for the kids to do whatever they wish to without us saying,"No" or "Don't". You definitely will not hear me say,"Rania binte Alfi Sohfian!"
(one of the reasons why I like my children to have short names, so that I don't run out of breath calling out for them!)
In short, play dates are 'Gasak kau' (up to you) moments.
I love capturing moments like this. In fact, I have the utmost patience to capture moments with children and it helps that pictures are snapped in digital because if you know how fast and interactive children are, probably only 30% of your picture works, depending on the age too!
Here were some of the pictures of my own daughter, my nephew and niece making their own space and mess!
Your even get to see some smacking.
(I am not one of those mothers who stand in kid's mushy fights, unless I think the child can understand what I will say to them.)
Play dates is also a good time for mummies to spend time with other children which so far they only get to see on Facebook.
I get so many of my social network friends or even relatives who bumped into me and said,"Dapat pun cium Rania. Asik asik tengok kat Facebook ajer!" (Finally I get to kiss Rania after all these times only having seen her on Facebook)
My next dream play date will be a picnic at the beach.
Sentosa seems fun and I don't mind weekdays because I don't fancy crowds.
Who's keen and in?
xoxo
