A walk down Botanical Gardens

Thursday, January 3, 2013

During the Christmas holidays, we woke up to a nice weather. It just rained and the sun was still amongst the clouds. So after sending food to my grandparents-in-law, Alfi decided to response to my naggy request.

He brought us to Botanical Gardens. I was so estatic!
I didnt waste any time in getting Rania and myself ready.

I love parks and walks, especially with Rania because she is still very slow so somehow it forces me to relax and not rush through things.

Botanical Gardens is where you can take pictures of pretty flowers.

We became more excited parents when Rania wanted to walk with Mr Lion together. Because of the numerous falls she had, she had a little phobia of walking. Even with Mr Lion, she wanted to hold our hand. As much as it warms my heart that she needed to feel either her parents to feel safe, I would love for her to be independent and a little bit more hung-ho.

But to me, if my child feels I am her security blanket, then she can have me all she want. Giving her the security today makes her a more confident person tomorrow.

So far, we taught Rania to animals. Birds and cats.
Here was her so excited seeing birds!

There was a time when both me and Alfi went hiding nearby. She was smart enough not to roam. She stood there for about 5 mins, not crying in search for her parents.

Even when people passed by and said hello, she did not move nor smile.
Good job sweetheart!

Here are the remaining pictures of the walk.

After all the walking, finally she wants to be carried.

Time to head home sweetie. It was a nice walk isn't it?
What would be interesting activities that you would do with your child/children?
