30 weeks & Pregnancy Myths

I have not been very diligent in taking pictures of the expanding tummy because that is me now.
Once I get home, I will sit down and really I do not know what I do.
Suddenly it always close to midnight and I know it because the husband will be nagging at me to shower and head to sleep.

So here is picture of me (and the husband) at 30 weeks.



Taken outside out KL serviced apartment while checking out during Hari Raya Haji long weekend.
I will be 8 months next week.
Time flies.. time really flies...

I am constantly thirsty, like OMG!! Even during shower, I just feel like walking out and grabbing a glass of cold water.
Maybe I have been hungry most times that I forgot to drink.
But really, the thirst is immense. Recommended amount to drink is 1 litre but I can really double that.

Truth is I am beginning not to be much of a food fan now.
But I surely am a fruit fan.
Just gimme any kinds of fruits and I will gulp it down.
Of course the cold ones will be great and most times i will pick fruits over food.
Still the husband will make me eat some carbo because I am currently very susceptible to indigestion now.
I will have 2 to 4 packets of Gaviscon in my bag at any time.

So I have been munching down apples, chinese pears, watermelons and papaya.
That is excluding the carrot and tomato juice the maid makes for me in the morning.
(whenever she feels like it - *grrr*)

Anyway, I stumbled upon the gender myths of pregnancy and you know what.. i am really confused now.

The reason why myths will predict why i am carrying a boy:
- You didn't experience morning sickness in early pregnancy
- Your baby's heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute
- You are carrying the extra weight out front
- Your belly looks like a basketball
- Your areolas have darkened considerably
- You are craving salty or sour foods
- Dad-to-be is gaining weight, right along with you
- Pregnancy has you looking better than ever (oh so many said.. so ok la to shiok sendiri a bit kan)
- Your urine is bright yellow in color
- Your nose is spreading

And here are the reasons why I should be carrying a girl:
- You are carrying the weight in your hips and rear
- Your left breast is larger than your right breast
- You are carrying high
- Your belly looks like a watermelon
- You are craving sweets
- You are craving fruit
- You crave orange juice
- You don't look quite as good as normal during pregnancy (yes i do have my horrid days)
- You are moodier than usual during pregnancy (errrr.. recently yes.. very angsty AT TIMES)
- Your face breaks out more than usual
- Your breasts have really blossomed!
- You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves in a circle
- You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an odd number

Still chances is that it will still be a girl but I did speak to Lil' Rania to open her legs up the next check up which will be in 2 weeks time.
Another detailed scan to make sure that she is growing perfectly well.
And also to make sure that she really has no balls you know!
*lol*

In any case, the husband and I have figured out a male name for Rania, should our little baby come out a blooming boy.
I just hope that he does not respond to Rania.
