The husband and I received a letter in late May from the developer, informing us that our house will be ready in June and that keys will be distributed in July and August.
Here is how our flat looks like last week.
Of cos we are extremely excited to shift and have a larger space to ourselves.
There may be still quite a bit to be done.
I am hoping that we get to shift in July as the husband will be away on reservist in Aug plus it is the month of Ramadhan.
We have a good idea of the house since we have been to the showroom.
4 blocks, 30 storeys and we managed to secure a level 26!!
It is all luck and rezeki.
To date, we have slowly done our shopping bit by bit.
Pots and pans

Tableware
Home slippers
Even toilet and kitchen dustbins!
At this point of time, I can still do other shopping like buying kitchen appliances and tools.
I started looking around for TV for the master bedroom and living room.
Washing machine, dryer and refrigerator.
Bath, face and hand towels
Mats
There is actually a LOT of spending and we are buying them little by little so as not to feel the pinch and also saving as much as we can with good buys.
I wish I can buy an iMac for my study.
But that will be the final priority.
Honestly, I do not know how any couple manage on top of the renovation they do.
Singapore is indeed an expensive place to live in.
I am just happy that the place we bought is furnished by the developer.
Still, with the house and Junior coming, both of us are pretty excited.
