I don't care if this is a bit basi because I know everyone who comes here will still read it.

2009 came and went with much impact.

Good and bad, definitely, because nothing is perfect.

I will not mention the bad like some do because I would rather bury the hatchet than to bring it up in the 2010 entry. I choose to remember happy times more than the challenging ones.

2009 was really an eventful year.

My lovely Nyai passed away on the 17th March 2009.

Yes, it is coming to a full year soon.

I never thought I will be able to face any deathbeds situation till I was brought face to face. I was right next to Nyai on her right ear and daddy on her left and we recited "La'illaha' Illallah" & "Allah". I saw her eyes wide open for 2 full minutes before she closed it again and left us in less than 3 minutes.

I will never forget the way she looked at me deep into my eyes.

No words yet so much was spoken.

I do not know if I will ever experience the same beauty again.

I miss Nyai badly.

Nyai's incident and passing really bonded my family with Nyai's siblings and their children.

Not that we were not close but we are more close knitted now that any other time before.

Today, we still enjoy the gatherings, dinners, baking parties.

Our clan today is called the OWL club. I will elaborate that some other day.

I get all orgasmic everytime a gathering is done.

Seriously, there are too many photographs for the whole year but I am sure you will get the idea

Mom's surprise birthday party which she enjoyed very much and was very unexpected cos it was the first one she had.

I think I did most of my travels in 2009.

It was crazy.

Oh and Phuket trip in about 10 days time.

2009 was the year where I splurged the most.

Didn't know why the sudden surge of bags purchases. Shoes.

Worse or even unbelievably, I picked up photography and got a Canon 1000D.

Among my favourites:

2009 was the year I left IBM after 4 years being at their service.

Made good friends and met not so good people but it was all in a day's work.

Christmas Party 2009:

2009 was the year my sister graduated and I was so proud of her definitely.

I remember that to be the proudest day of the year I graduated.

The next time I wear this  outfit again will be my photoshoot with my husband.

It was the same year my brother got married

The best thing that happened in 2009?

My Engagement

It turned out much bigger than I was planning or hoped for but whatever it is, I am engaged.

It will be hard to beat 2009's event but I am thankful to Him.

2010 will be full of challenges.

More than I thought.

I have a wonderful family.

I have a wonderful partner who will be my husband by end of this year, Insya Allah.

There are waves and obstacles but it is just part and parcel of any relationships.

 I brush it away and pray we will pull through it all.

Insya Allah.

I am not unique.

The rest, I will take it at its stride.

I was told by a wise old man that everything will be just fine.

And I believe him.
