Lucky its a Friday.
Somehow I know that the idea is supposed to soothe everyone.
I'm at a coffee joint again for the third time today. God knows what I am doing so many times at a joint within a day. They should make me the spokeswoman for Starbucks or even Coffee Bean.
I'm trying to read my book but end up blogging from my BB.
Yes its only 5.45pm and I'm nicely seated here alone.
Reading has not been successful for I have so many things in my mind.
But I'm going to enjoy the next 45 mins that I have to myself before I head down for a dinner appointment at Marina.
I spent 2 weeks playing with the idea of giving mommy her first surprise birthday party. Last week,I had it all planned out nicely. In fact, I am going to look for her a birthday cake later, which I still will.
I was so excited about seeing the near success to it till I had it ruined. Well, the only reason its not ruined is because she still doesn't know that there is a party awaiting her.
I spend hours on phone calls trying to orchestrate it nicely over the past few days in the midst of my busy schedule and heavy work load. (Apparently, cost cutting does not mean less work)
I get calls in between calls.
Smses pending replies.
I come to a point where my phone can't be silent for a good half hour.
5.15pm today, the exhaustion just sinked in. I am a runner. Sprinter, I would say, sprinting away from d reality of my emotions.
Till the very last minute now, I'm trying to get the pool of people to cooperate with me to make the party a success.
I guess life's like that.
I have been in this situation many times before.
Working so hard for something to happen yet it slipped through my very own hands in front of my naked eyes.
But just like life itself, it will have to go on.
And on.
And on.
Just like the mind and body which is exhausted, I'm not sure how much longer it can work for me but let's just live as if there is no tomorrow.
30 more mins before I head off, I had enough of coffee today so I'm going to start enjoying my Raspberry Blackcurrant drink n read whatever I can.
