Aside from all the whinings lately, here was how the whole week went since last Friday.

It was really a good trip down to KL. Took a day of leave from work that Friday, knowing that my Lovie was so eager for my arrival.

Since it was Hari Merdeka for the M'sians, it was really nice to see their patriotism and the spirit they showed.

I purposely didnt sleep during the ride up to KL cos I thought of catching a nap once I arrived in the hotel. But that wasn't the case. I neither slept during the drive up to KL nor in the hotel.

My thoughts were at work. The minute the Thinkpad was up, I was going through my mails making sure that they were not capped.

7.20pm, I finished ironing my clothes after dad ironed mom's and his clothes for dinner. I headed for a hot shower, starting to calm myself down.

7.35pm, Lovie called to say that he was at the hotel lobby.
Huh?!? Lobby?!?
I was already so nervous about meeting his whole family and wasn't ready to let him stress me up. His fault for coming to early. Dinner was scheduled at 8.30pm and he had agreed to meet us at 8.10pm.

Yes, so I took the time I needed. I had to look naturally good good naturally good & natural for the occasion. It was Lovie's mom's birthday.

8.25pm we met at the lobby. Me with my black skinny jeans, black top with gold streaks, black pump heels and LV bag. Lovie was waiting with his cousin in jeans and red polo Tshirt.

All smiles but God knows how fast my heart was beating.
The ride down to the restaurant, I was reciting the selawat but it wasn't calming me down. So I sang my heart out Ziana Zain's song on air. Very out of tune, mind you..

My mom was like,"Patut kau selawat, mintak everything is ok"

Ermmmm.. at least I did try

Me, my mom and dad met Lovie's whole family except for the 1st and 3rd sister. Me and Lovie were seated opposite each other. So were my mom and his. His mother facing diagonal to me which was soooo uncomfortable.

I didn't know whether to put my hands on the table or under. I smiled and smile. Talking only a sentence or two. I was very comfortable though with Lovie's 2nd sister who was 3 yrs younger than him.

This was us.

Yeah I know I look so uncomfortable. So not me kan!!! But she is nice!
*wide smile*

Sitting in front of Lovie at the dinner table was trully convenient. Cos I could kick his leg when he embarass me in front of his mom like:
"Takder mummy.. dia ni jaga badan"
or
"Mummy! Comel kan!"

worse he said,"Mummy dah beritahu haribulan?"

And everytime Lovie's mom will look at me and smile! Then what do you expect me to do!?!?
Smile lah!
My mom as per normal, so cutely blur. *tee hee*

Remember I said I would drag Lovie down to Masjid India.
I successfully did. Hahaha... Must start teaching him.
He fetched the ladies at 2.30pm at the hotel lobby and off we went!

That day, we were ladies of leisure. Shopping bags were carried. ALL of it!
He on the other hand had to enter shops and look at brooches and head dresses and ladies tops.

Yes I was busy picking out things for our event.

He survived through dinner and coffee that night with dad joining us later part of the night.

It was a nice family talk over coffee at Olio Dome that night.
Things were more open than I expected to.
Future plans. Past histories. All wonderfully intertwined in a seating.

The last day I didnt get to see Lovie much. But we managed to spend time almost as a family watching a 30 min of the fireworks competition in Putra Jaya.
It started at 10pm on a Sunday night and I was still near KL!!!

The huge crowd of cars taking up parking of 3 lanes on each side of the road on the highway.

I will never forget how we feel each other's fingers briefly, having to let go but not wanting to.

It is a busy time for me trying to pack everything into boxes so that it will be easier to paint the room.
Shelves which eat up the entire stretch of the room will be brought down
I can't wait for the room to be done. I really cant.

My room at this juncture.

I stumbled upon my photos when I was younger and how I smile looking at them.

It didn't take me long at all to pick out my wedding planner.
It is great to know that all will be done for me. Everything. And I really mean everything.
I don't even need to do calls for RSVP!! Best kan!
Not even the wedding registration!!!

So convenient for a busy woman like me who practically sits in front of her computer all day long!

Yes I do have a budget and am working very closely on it but no doubt I am going all out for my wedding.
And as much as possible, I will not want to use my parents money though I am sure they would love to.

For now, I shall keep the budget figure within my family and Lovie's.

I was afraid not being able to engage the right people due to short notice.
But Alhamdulillah. Lovie was right.
When the right time comes, everything will fall in place.

Oh ya.. so much about the wedding preps.
Engagement?
Yes, I am planning to have a small-sized ceremony. Initially, we wanted it to be tiny.
Thanks to Lovie's mom who wanted to send gifts, which means we too have to do so.
Then thanks to mom. Guest list was up.. then she reminded me that we have to invite the neighbours.
That will be an additional 16 guests at least!!

And I only thought that it was going to be 12 people on my side.
My own side will add up to 35 to 40 people and I am only inviting 2 friends!
*smack forehead*

I'm just left with the gifts and catering now which I am leaving them in the hands of mom.

As much as we were given a date much earlier, me and Lovie have been delaying to blog it up.
Cos I am sure that there will be a lot of people asking me and my mom.
Low profile can?
Read my blog and don't ask.

It is set to be a week after Syawal, Insya Allah.

Singapore Wedding, insya allah 3.5 months down the road after the engagement.
Malaysia wedding 2 weeks after that, which is still in discussion

500 is the estimation in my guest list on a one-time seating which I am planning to cut down cos they might need a big ballroom. 500 would mean no cousins or nieces and nephews invited.
Aunties, uncles, cousins no questions please.
You will still have to stop bombarding me and my mom with the questions.
Please allow us the comfort to tell you when the time is right.

If you ask me how they can read this, if they ever, *shrug* don't ask me.

I'm meeting my wedding planner on Monday to set the location.
Lovie's stressed I tell you... haha!

Ok too much info out already.

Today was Kids@work in IBM. I didn't know it was school holidays until today.
Hui volunteered to be in charge of the kids. She came back with hair all messed up and face so flushed.

Can you imagine kids not knowing how to button up their pants and needed to accompany them to the toilet?
*groan*

I just finish my teleconference at 10.30am this morning, writing up my mails to sum up the meeting and I heard stomping.
I swear I thought we had a midget in the office. Until I saw a little boy running up and down the aisle.
I immediately picked up the phone, called Hui's extension and said,"Do you think you can get rid of them?"
Hui said I made them sound like cockroaches.

These 'cockroaches' screaming "Mummy!!" or "Daddy!!"
It was so hard to concentrate on my work. Little giants running around and I was holding on to my desk afraid the building will collapse.
Ok ok I was kidding..

Well, here's one in action

And the whole group seated in the pantry watching SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!!!

But I really softened up when one of my colleagues brought her 2 daughters. So cute and small size wearing mini telekungs!
Now, THAT was cute!!!
And they salam-ed me!!

Oh god.. I can faint now.

Lovie, wait ok.. you must learn how to relax.
Our time will come soon.
