Do you know what it meant that God sometimes force you into a situation for the better of yourself?
It happened to me.
As I have said, I have been feeling exhausted again and again but the mind kept pushing the body to do more and more.
It is very satifying no doubt knowing that all your efforts were appreciated by customers and people I work with.
Wednesday night, soon after I blogged, I headed to bed only to encounter a sharp pain at my stomach.
I right away knew I was going to have stomach flu.
I woke sis, knowing I am so scared to be vommiting alone and ask her to come to the toilet with me.
Dinner came out.
The last time I had stomach flu was 8 years ago when I was sitting for my 'A' levels.
Similar symptoms.
Lucky my sister woke my dad up.
And luckily my mom woke alongside with dad.
Head began to spin. Within seconds it was so bad that I told Lil' Sis or whoever was there that I wanted to lay down.
Lucky thing I didnt fall down the stairs. I heard voices around me but I wasn't sure who held me up. Or even how many people held me up.
Then when I thought I was nearing my bed, I let myself down, only to underestimate the distance and hit my left rib and waist at the sharp foot of my bed frame.
I heard the loud thud but the brain was only focused on getting on the bed.
Let the blood rush to the head.
The only thing I heard clearly was Mom crying saying,"Intan kenaper boleh jadi macam gini Intan."
Lil' Sis kept asking me to talk to her to make sure I didnt pass out.
At the age of 26, I grabbed my mom's shirt and made her sit beside me, knowing for sure that she would not leave me. Being beside me to comfort and tell me that I was going to be ok, despite my mistake of overexhausting myself.
Mom told dad to bring me to the hospital so if I was warded, then the grandmother and granddaughter will be at the same place.
Dad and mom took turns to get ready. Lil Sis hooded over my body with Albaya.
5 mins and we were good to go.
Only that I had no sense of balance.
Mom and dad had to lead me down the stairs and when I was in front of the door, the stomach pain was excruciating and the dizziness came back.
I crouched on the floor and dad told me to make my way slowly to the car.
I told him I needed to lie down.
I went back into the house and lied down on the sofa.
Lil' Sis called for the ambulance. Four times but the line got cut off! Can you imagine such ridiculous event in Singapore.
She called the police and was asked to call 995 AGAIN.
So dad decided not to wait for the ambulance after seeing that they were still waiting for the red light to go green at 4.30am!!
There is no traffic!!
Mom and dad got me into the car. I crawled in and left my slippers outside the car.
I really do not know what gotten into me!
That night which I mentioned was my sloppiest night wearing pjs, I headed to A&E.
For the first time in my life, I was wheeled in a wheelchair.
I wasn't used to have things done for me.
Today, I am still recovering with headaches and dizzy spells.
Yes, Thursday was the day I slept entirely, only waking up for meals.
Am on MC again today for I am not confident to be walking on my own. I can't believe the hospital only gave me 1 day MC.
Apologise to those who are looking forward to their dresses postages, I will try to post them out by today.
I hope I recover fast enough cos I am so excited to bring my baby cousins to Sentosa for IBM Family Day on Saturday.
I got 5 tickets which I was happily planning to bring the baby cousins and baby
I had so much plans for them on that day like bringing them to Mac'D for burgers and ice cream and was thinking of buying them a disposable poncho each so that I need not bring umbrellas.
Once the rain is over, we can throw that all away!
