I am still like a zombie in the office.

It must either be due to the exhaustion over the past 4 days of the showcase or simply Monday Blues. I think it is both.

The whole body and legs are aching plus the eyelids are really heavy.
Coffee and chocolates did not help!
Nothing is boosting me!!!!

Good thing is that Big Boss is on leave today that I could take things a little slow but the bad is that I was away from my Thinkpad for a while now and there is a lot of catching up to do.

Emails which have yet to be responded.
Contract Amendments coming in as fast as they can so that business can be as usual.
More than 20 project deliverable process and transition to be completed with client and it is less than 2 weeks before I am on my own.

Transition Manager will head on to a new project and I am really hoping that I can cope with the similar governance from the previous project, only more independently.

How was the Expo showcase?
Neighbours were great despite there are times where we need to be a bit more patient. When it came to selling, both parties helped to sell one another's goods and look over the shop when we need to head to the ladies or have lunch breaks.

There was still my cuzzie there which makes a whole lot of difference. Him always coming by to our store and asking us if we need food or drinks. Buying us chips and getting for us our snacks.
He was the acting Big Brother asking us to follow the Sunnah that is not to close the shop too late.
What was great was that he ensured I have dinner every night during closing.

Since Wednesday till yesterday, I only clocked 24 hours of sleep which gives me 16 hours short. Now I'm thinking of how to have it recovered.
Worse, I have yet to recover the days which I helped Mom run errands before her flight and Lil' Sis giving me a list of 15 items to do 12 hours before Mom's flight.

Still, we had a lot of fun at the Expo - EATING!!
Maklum, food was nearby and there were so much food plus ice cream became was our daily dosage.
Yes, I did put on weight. Suddenly, my office pants felt a bit tighter around my thighs this morning..

Die laaaaaa....

*panic mode*

I can't have mom catching me putting on weight. Sure she would think that I am so happy without her around. haha. Truth is, I am homesick!
Funny cos I am in my own hometown.

Anyway, sales did not kick off as well as the last showcase we had. I admit that there are times where I was at my wits-end trying to get sales in for the day.

It was challenging cos some customers bargained beyond what I thought Her Closet could provide. Plus, we had overhead to cover.

I admit, they do have every right to say all they can to stretch their dollar and even give unfavourable looks. But we needed to stand by our ethics because we did not kick off this business without understanding the market. We guaranteed them good buys and definitely good quality.

Business is all about the objective of making money - wisely. Of course we don't sell items at cost price as We have other overheads to cover. Nevertheless, HC managed to ensure a good price, comparable to the material.

Truth is, our materials and quality of tailoring is the only one to be found in Singapore. Which is solely the reason why we do not sell them in Geylang, though pressed to run weekend stalls competing with those selling similar to ours.

I am very selective and run through quality checks on my items and ensure HC does not sell defects to customers. It's a failure on my end if I disappoint them.

My first job as a Customer Service Rep, I ended up being very particular on customer rapport which is why I am very happy that most of our customers who came by our stores were the same customers from our first showcase.

My only problem is to bring in the large sizes. Currently only armed till XXL, I am challenged to bring in up to XXXXXXL. Honestly, I am also constantly challenged with capital (noooooooooo I did not use my daddy's money!) but Insya Allah will get some designs ready in time.

Yes, HC has come up with our very own label and designs but have yet to roll it out.
Time is also another factor which we have been at war with.

Here's a preview:

I am in this business not for glamour and try to paint a pretty picture to the readers all the time to fake the reality of doing well.
I have my ups as well as my downs and so does HC. It takes a lot of patience and peserverance which is why I can't thank the people enough for the support, motivation, prayers and even the literal sweat and time they put in for me, especially Mom and Dad.

My baby cousins told their mom to buy the maxi dresses for them cos they thought it is very pretty and my aunty just had it shortened.

Well, on another lighter note, the stall beside me sells Muslim swimsuits and while we were sitting down, a little girl walked into our shop since we were the nearest with a mirror.

She looked so adorable that when I asked if I could take her photo. She could not agree more. She stood there so sweetly till Monis told her to give the peace sign.

Dah kenaper Monisssss ajar yang bukan-bukan... Hahaha!

I asked her,"Do you know that you are pretty?"
She nodded and said,"I know!"

I love her confidence!
*lol*

Then much later when we were bored. Or should I say when Monis was bored, she pulled the adult head wrap and pulled it over. I seriously could not help laughing cos she too looked so cute!!

Ok, no way would I ever be caught in that!
Hahahaha!
