Before i proceed, let me just mention that i am a fan of the Oprah Show.
I try to watch it every weekday at 1pm on Star World
If i am awake that is *poutz*
So baby woke me up at 12pm cos i knew i had to do something but i couldnt figure out what..
Oh yah! my bloody MBA entrance essays..
I've like been procrstinating it for 3 weeks now..
And i have another 2 weeks to work on it!
*shivers*
So anyway, Oprah had a really good topic on the talk show today.
Its about diet, sex and health.
I wanted to shower but I end up sitting in front of the TV with a cup of coffee.
So about dieting.
People, please DO NOT follow entirely my diet routine
Cos i starve myself
I barely eat a meal a day
And that isnt healthy.
But what the heck! I lost my freakin' weight and i look good but i think i might follow Baby's advice to get some multivitamin stuff.. But looking at how i procrastinate i'm not sure when i will start popping them
Anyway, DO NOT eat anything after 7.30pm and have a high fibre diet.
I did what they advised me to do that is to praise myself whenever i don't touch food that i should
And now i feel good that i have a FLAT tummy.. Just a few more inches to go..
But yeah.. i went cold turkey with food. Went thru temperamental changes when i have no food.
Cos i love to eat. But now, i see food and i am full..
I see that as a sense of achievement but it is bad
So don't follow me...
Ok next... let's talk about sex
as what oprah mention, 20 million people in the world have a problem having sex with their spouse and most of them end up not having it.
There are spouses who sleep in separate beedrooms.
For those of my friends who has high sex drives, forget about this portion.
Don't think it will never happen to you seriously.
You may still be sleeping in the same room but may not even be having sex
The truth is that, some people are afraid of rejection from their spouses and creates a wall or barrier..
And these people who have the barriers up and are indeed rejected would just sit back and said,'I knew it would happen'
i know i have this walls up in front of me
And i know i should cos i am not married.
For now, i am letting my brain take over the body and say 'no'
And i have gotten used to this now that i don't crave for any of such things
But it is starting to worry me when oprah mention about this issue because i am not sure if i could let my body take over the mind instead when i am married.
You know.. i mean it is all legal and all.. and i have a husband that i love
now i feel that my sexual needs is minimal, i do worry.
*lol*
seriously i do!
Cos Oprah said that sex leads to intimacy which leads to connection.
That i do believe cos the lack of it will cause both, either men or women to fantasize abt other people.
I have my issues addressed and i know i will be in good hands should i fall back into my own four walls
Ok so here's what women should know
And i think this is the most impt thing i should share
I found this very knowledgable and i think women out there should follow.
We women should seriously considering going for health checks
Those ages 12 and above should start having my blood pressure checked.
We women should visit a gynaecologist at the age of 21 or when they are sexually active
Papsmears should be done at the same age too...
And for women above 50, pls go and get your colonoscopy.
I know my mom went for that.
Cos 55,000 people die every year due to colon cancer.
It freaks me out thinking i need to see a gynae.
You know doing papsmears and mammogram
Chances of us getting cervical cancers and breats cancers
I think we should do a lot of reading on issues that concerns women.
Who said it was simple being a woman?
