*burp*

Am feeling quite full now. Trying to cut down (not eliminating) carbo and oil intake for the sake of fitting into my 'S' sizes and not having to crunch my tummy.
Enough of Raya goodies
(yeah right, we are going to have a mini celebration with the team later and some of my colleagues really bring good cornflakes and cookies!)

Anyway, here is another portion of the Raya story.
Everywhere I went, everyone was asking when was my turn to be married. A question which I am really numb today. But what was worse was that Mom added salt to the wound which made her sound very worried that her daughter is not getting married.

So there was a period where 2 of my mom's siblings managed to ask me really face to face.
Everybody was making noise that it was impossible that no one wanted to marry me.
(Yeah that is the case today)
*lol*
They thought I was fussy.

I said I am only because I knew what I wanted.

They asked what was my criteria.

I said this:
Old - at least 7 years older than me
Fat - like Kung Fu Panda or even Shrek
Mature - which was why the old criteria. I don't want to be married to a 'kid'
Pleasant face - Looks is a bonus. As long as I don't have a heart attack waking up, I am fine.

All of them were shock and thought I was pulling their leg.
All long they thought I was looking for some hunk.
Hunk?!?!
Not in my league.
Better to have a peaceful marriage than one which brings me even more problems than I already have.

So now you know why it has always not been easy for me.
Still, the #1 push factor is ego. Especially if the ego is bigger than their head. Cos when the ego is big, they can never be humble people.

I need someone who makes me a better person I am today.
Someone who can compliment my strengths to shadow my weaknesses.

I think the aunties still find it hard to believe whatever I mentioned to them.

Here is the untold story of Raya was that a match making episode tried to take place on 1st Syawal itself.

It did get my mom and aunty a little excited.

Guess who was my saviour?

Opah.
My aunty's mother-in-law was against her own grand nephew getting to know me.

Little did I know that she has always been protective of me.
I have always enjoyed going to my aunty's place anyway. Not only that the 7 little ones are there but it makes a whole lot of difference having Opah around.

The wonders of a grandmother.
Thanks Opah!

I am glad things happen the way it did. It only showed that God had never left me. In fact, He never left any of us.
