Date: 25th October 2007
Day: Thursday
Time: 3.30pm
Attendees: SG Proj Mgt Office (PMO) Teambuilding
Location: Corriander Leaf
It was rare but I was glad of the initiative to have the SG PMO to have this teambuilding event.
Attendance was made compulsory to all of us.
It was all fun fun fun.
Probably the only time when no one remembers who is the boss.
I had a great time.
So here I was at Corriander Leaf at almost 4pm
The minute I entered the restaurant, we were greeted with a menu and a chef's hat, made of paper, which we had to write our names on it.
It was a very creative and comfortable way to get to know everybody.
But for me, I had a little difficulty trying to fit the chef's hat onto my tudung head
If you notice carefully, I was really make a fool of myself and amusing the rest around me.
Lil' did I know would my good ol' colleague snap a shot of me!
With plastic aprons, we were waiting for the chef to gave us a briefing..
And here we were snapping shots of ourselves
Laughing and giggling, trying to figure out the names of the ingredients on the table.
If I am terrible, mak mak ni pun ader just as bad ok.
Me & Hui
Rohani & myself
Myself & Farhah (sweet lady on 4th floor)
I learnt a lot of things though.
I learnt what is corriander leaves, mint leaves... err.. damn.. I think that's about it!
I know how to make Vietnamese Spring Roll!
Only that it was my teammate steaming the prawns.
*laughs*
This was the chef would announce a lead in every team. She kept looking at me.
When it was my team's announcement, her voice boomed across the restaurant,"Team 4. Mima!"
My reaction?
*looks around* "Shit!"
But I did smile at her and accepted the menu
I was cursing continuously mostly due to nervousness...
Mati lah.. Baca the recipe book pun tak paham
I have to be honest.
I was a bad lead. My team did most of it.
I was doing the scraping and peeling of radish and tomatoes...
aahhaha...
90 minutes to get the food readily served!
Here were part of the team who weren't at the kitchen!
The ones in the kitchen?
We did cook up good enough for a team of 50 to eat.
Yes!! It was all the teamwork
Here's my entire team!
At the end of it all, there was a prize giving session.
Best Chef went to our ASEAN PMO Manager
Potential Serial Killer My ex-TL, Wee Chin
The last award was supposedly to be the Worst Chef but the Chef in charge could not pinpoint anyone so they made a tiny change
They changed it to the Sexiest Chef and it was a Malay lady who won it cos she showed so much passion in the food.
It's so exciting isn't it.
After makan it was all good and loads and loads of photo-taking
The IBM-DBS PMO ladies
The guys
The Boss surrounded by the ladies
Me & my ex-colleague, Jaime, the one who used to do the monthly presentations
Me & the new staff who took over my dear Faridah
Just us
Our goodbye to Corriander Leaf
Say HELLO to Haagen Daaz
Yes, i tempted the rest of the girls to indulge a $100 dessert treat.
Nampak sah tak makan!
hahaha but even the ice cream night was worth it!
Me & Rohani
Me & Jill
It was all Girls' Talk. Purely Girls' Talk
Yak Yak Yak.
The laughters we had, it was memorable!
We left the ice cream parlour, agreeing that we should do it again soon!
*gleam*
To seal the night, we almost wet our pants at the water fountain having our photos taken
Yes! That is what girls do when their boys are not around!
*smiles*
Nobody wanted to go to work the following day & would love to use food poisoning as an excuse.
But there wasn't enough back-ups to perform Friday's closing.
*laughs out loud*
Someone searched for IBM DBS, and saw this link. I burst out laughing in the office looking at our photos. I super miss those days!
